Child Care Providers United 2019

SEIU Child Care had me busy in 2019 working to promote the importance of passing comprehensive legislation that secures Child Care Providers careers, education, and futures here in CA. Working with SEIU, UDW, Raising California, and Digital Impact And, this 6-month long leg of the outreach campaign consisted of multiple flyers, handouts, banners, booklets, posters, animations, and advertisements in multiple languages reaching across California. Seeing all of these courageous child care providers proclaiming their rights to equal access to all that the American Dream promises energized me every day. So honored to be able to design for them the signs, shirts, banners and materials they can proclaim so proudly their right to unionize!

Fight For $15

A project I was proud to be a part of is the Fight for $15 campaign, lead by workers, community groups, faith leaders, and labor unions to raise awareness and action about livable wages and dignity. I’ve been working with their San Diego and Las Vegas marketing arms on logos, t-shirts, flyers, signage, banners, etc. to get the word out and the minimum wage up! On April 15th, an enormous crowd throughout SDSU marched and rallied and chanted for a livable wage in California, and I was lucky to be able to help. It was amazing seeing hundreds of people across the city equipped with materials that I helped make, marching toward equality.

Schools & Communities First

Since 2019 I’ve been working with the team at Schools & Communities First on their Yes On 15 campaign to reset the laws on how California corporate taxes are used for small businesses, parks, and schools. Although much of California is navigating between pandemic pauses and lockdown, Prop 15 was an intense campaign in the 2020 election season.

I worked with the amazingly diligent team at SCF to maximize their outreach efforts designing and translating a variety of materials to multiple languages such as manuals, graphics, infographics, charts, workshops, leave-behinds, flyers, posters and more.

Ultimately, Prop 15 did not pass this time around, but the path burned by the campaign has broke ground to rebalance an outdated tax model in the future.
