the colophon
Basically, its latest incarnation is a tribute to the new way of thinking and design approach I am taking to my work and my sites: simple, elegant, pleasing to the eye, humble use of amazing technology, and just probably a pretty good flavor if you were actually able to nibble on it.
This site is the culmination and on-going work-in-progress of a San Diego-based designer and web developer specializing in the hand-coding of web sites with a mindset to achieve a high-quality output of beautifully designed, standards compliant, cross-browser compatible XHTML/CSS online applications. To that end, I have endeavored to create this site using clean XHTML coding, and achieve stylistic and architectural control with CSS. Along with the various accoutns of PHP, implemented Javascripts, AJAX techniques, and DHTML actions: as I grow so does this site and all the technologies that create it.
Although I've been through the total wringer with various web design and css programs, this site was happily created in “toto” with skEdit. This mysterious little program has been a true find; it does everything you want, surpises me everyday with automatic things, allows you to customize it completely, is STABLE, and still has a ton of features I am working to understand. Next to the cost of hundreds spent on prior web dev progs, this $20 is worth the whole lump sum. Honorable mentions: Photoshop, Illustrator, Firefox, Chrome.
This site uses Helvetica as it’s primary font, only to be replaced by Arial when specific user technology does not allow.
