The Gritty: When I was approached by the owners of the newest Thai food restaurant in Wilmington, Delaware for a logo development/website creation project they had one thing in mind: “How can we get the most but spend the least?” This I could understand. They've spent so much into getting everything else prepared: a beautiful restaurant created by Premier Builders, table-wear, stocks for the kitchen, all of the permits... the last thing they should do to sustain a thriving business was break the bank on their indentity creation and presence on the web. And with it being a friend of a friend thing, I was more than happy to strategize with them on the most cost-effective and appropriate means of getting the look they want, the information to the public they need, and a price they could afford. Luckily, simplicity itself was the nature of their restaurant and menu, and simplicity in logo, color, and site worked perfectly to match. For under a few hundred dollars I was able to whip up a logo to their liking and a small, informative website in which they could upload menus of their own creation and update them as they see fit.
